Cancer Council Queensland is the state’s leading organisation dedicated to reducing the impact of cancer and is proud to be an official charity of the Gold Coast 50 ultramarathon. It is actively involved in the event in a number of supportive ways. From promoting the Gold Coast 50 Ultramarathon at other events, to cheering on everyone with a smile, Cancer Council Queensland is a vital part of this annual Gold Coast event. By choosing to be ‘Active for Cancer’, you will be supporting a great cause, reducing your own risk of cancer and raising much-needed funds for cancer research, patient support services and education programs. For more information visit the Cancer Council Qld website. You may donate to Cancer Council Qld directly or as part of the event registration process.
Australian Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian movement. For 100 years, our aim has been to reduce human suffering and improve people's lives, no matter who they are or where they live. We care for people in local Australian communities and further afield, providing a daily phone call for people who are isolated and alone, a healthy breakfast for school children who might otherwise go hungry, relief and recovery in times of disaster, clean water for people living in remote communities and shelter and a hot meal for teenagers facing homelessness. Australian Red Cross actively promotes the Gold Coast 50 Ultramarathon at other events and is pleased to be part of this annual Gold Coast event. For more information on Australian Red Cross, visit the Australian Red Cross website. You may donate to Australian Red Cross directly or as part of the event registration process.
